The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Trust is a charity created in memory of Tim and Johnathan after the IRA bombed Warrington in 1993. Our mission of giving young people a ‘passion for peace’ in their lives is delivered through the vision of being a leading organisation in the development of young people’s peace-building skills – skills, which will help them resolve conflict non-violently.
Our unique flexible courses give young people the opportunity to participate in alternative personal development courses, which help them, understand the impact their behaviour and attitude can have on themselves and others. These are delivered through informal and accredited educational programmes during youth exchanges, residentials, multiple day, or day long pieces of work.
To date, over 11,000 young people from schools and organisations throughout the UK have participated in the many programmes offered by the Trust. These include organisations such as Shrewsbury College, The Prince’s Trust, Weston Spirit, Pupil Referral Units, The Children’s Society, NSPCC and Connexions.
Monies raised are invested in:
- Development of educational courses on the theme of ‘Peace and Conflict Resolution’ including ‘Anti-bullying’
- Residential projects for disadvantaged children
- Working with schools on citizenship programmes
- Helping “victims”, whose lives have been affected by conflict
